Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

It can be difficult to know exactly what’s driving your symptoms — anxiety, low mood, trouble focusing, and other struggles often overlap. A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation is where we sort that out together, and it’s the foundation for everything that follows.

During your appointment, James will talk through your symptoms, thoughts, emotions, behaviors, concerns, and goals, and review your psychiatric, medical, family, and social history. Your initial evaluation typically runs 60–90 minutes — enough time to actually understand your story, not just check boxes.

What This Involves

  • A detailed discussion of your current symptoms and concerns
  • Review of psychiatric, medical, family, and social history
  • Discussion of your goals for treatment
  • An accurate diagnosis based on the full clinical picture
  • A personalized treatment plan built around your specific needs

Who This Is For

Anyone starting psychiatric care for the first time, switching providers, or unsure what’s behind changes in their mood, behavior, concentration, or emotional well-being. We see children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults.
